I set up Baberton Accounting to assist businesses using my considerable experience gained in both the private and not for profit sector. A chartered accountant, I spent more than 20 years working at the heart of the finance function of Scotland's leading privately owned merchant banking group. I followed this with 10 years working in the not-for-profit sector in senior executive and non-executive roles. This has allowed me to develop a range of skills capable of providing business and accounting advice to a wide range of clients.

Taxation Matters
Tax legislation and regulations are extensive and can be a maze to navigate. During his career, David has had significant hands-on experience of managing taxation matters, including corporation tax, capital gains tax, VAT, stamp duty, payroll taxes and gift aid and continues to use his knowledge and experience to assist clients to minimise their tax liability through use of reliefs, to maximise cash flow benefits to clients and to ensure full compliance with taxation rules and regulations.
